Percy Jackson and the LEPrecons.

I've been on a serious reading kick lately. Not that I'm ever not on a reading kick, but I've laid the writing a little to the side.... and have checked out some of the randomest books from the library lately.

Meaning, all of the books I've heard about, looked at, and wanted to read, but have never had a chance.

Here's the list:

The Missing series, by Margaret Peterson Haddix. (I've read all three books.)

The Artemis Fowl series, by Eoin Colfer. (Books one and two, so far.)

Percy Jackson and the Olympians, by Rick Riordan. (I only have one book left... The Last Olympian.)

I also picked up the first book in the Series of Unfortunate Events, because of Lemony Snicket's NaNoWriMo pep talk, and on a whim: Holes, by Louis Sachar, because it was a book that everyone I know has read in public school, but I'd never gotten a chance to read it myself.

So far, I've loved everything I've read. So look for reviews on all of these books very soon! I'll clump all the books in a series into one post, mostly, so they might be a bit long. But I hope you don't mind :)

Oh, and I'm also about to delve into these two books, both the last in a series:

And I'm still plowing through this:

Well, that was a longer reading update then I thought it would be....

Oh, and cheers for the Packers, who just won the Superbowl! *throws confetti*

TTFN. Ta ta for now!

I've been on a reading kick too lately. :) So far I've read through By Darkness Hid, The Personifid Invasion, The God Hater (which is totally epically amazing... do not be thrown off by the title. Seriously... DO NOT!), The Hunger games book 1 (working on book two), and I'm preparing to read North or Be Eaten, and Dragons of the Valley. Of course, I suppose I should read The Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness first... but I don't have that book yet, and I borrowed North from a friend. :)

btw, you'll love all the Artemis Fowl books! Although #5 is the one I paused on... if you read the blurb, you'll probably understand why. But I finally broke down and read it because I wanted to read and understand what was going on in #6. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. :)

Hey, awesome-sounding books there Star-Dreamer! :D :D :D

I want to read the Hunger Games, but there are so many holds on them at the library, I'm thinking about buying them ;)

OK, I'll tuck that away for book #5-- I just finished 2 and got 3 yesterday, so yeah :)
