Another Lord of the Rings Moment

(click the last picture to watch the entire ending of FotR on Youtube. The video starts with Frodo standing on the shore holding the ring in his hand.)

"Go back, Sam! I'm going to Mordor alone."

"Of course you are. And I'm coming with you!"

"Sam. Sam, you can't swim!"

"Sam!"

"SAM!!"

"I made a promise Mr Frodo. A promise!"

"'Don't you leave him Samwise Gamgee.' And I don't mean to. I don't mean to."

"Oh, Sam."

Cute! :)

I actually need some help with Lord of the Rings. You see, I bought two of them from the library store, and I wanted to know how many movies there were, which order they go in, and a little bit of info on it. ;)

You, Abby are the only person I know who likes Lord of the Rings, or knows about it, so help would be appreciated!!!!!! :D Thanks so much!

I desperately need to watch that movie again. LotR is by far my favourite book/movie

Oh, and Jedi-Chick, I think I can help you out. There are three books/movies, and this is the order:

1- The Fellowship of the Ring
2- The Two Towers
3- The Return of the King

There is a prequel to all of them called 'The Hobbit' which is a really fun read. It's not as serious as the others. They're currently making a movie for it, actually, which I can't wait for.

As for reading/watching them, what I did was read a bit of the book, then watch that much of the movie, then read a bit more of the book, then watch the movie...etc... I don't know if you'd care for that, but I found it was nice b/c it meant I didn't get lost in the book, and I didn't let the movie ruin my perception of the book. Whatever you do, I suggest reading the book before watching the movie, or it won't be as special.

Thank you Elanor! ;) I have the first two movies then.
Now, the books sound interesting. I've heard of the Hobbit before, so maybe I will try them. :) Thanks for your help!!!!!! The LotR movies/books sound/look really cool!!!! :)

@Jedi~Chick
Yeah, Elanor Lawrence was able to tell you first: and if you happen upon any of the Extended Editions of the movies, watch those-- they're waaaay better than the theatrical releases.
Also, (echoing Elanor here), I would highly recommend reading all three books first and then watching the films, or at least reading each book before watching the corresponding movie-- 'tis MUCH better that way ;)

@Elanor Lawrence
You know they're splitting it over two movies, right??

@Lauren
Heh heh :P It's not getting obnoxious is it??? ;)

Ahhhh...this is my second favorite scene of all time. :D

The soundtrack of this scene is amazing. It's half the scene, actually. It makes your heart lurch.

Yes! The extended versions are WAAAAY better! I watched those the first time I watched LotR and then recently watched the theatrical releases, and was so disappointed that all the funny parts (and all my favorite parts) weren't in it! :O
