Is it wrong...

To have a Japanese song stuck in your head all day when you aren't Japanese and don't actually speak the language??

I've been driving the family crazy singing this:

This is the translation for the English version of the song:

Far in the light, I can see it
In every scene of the night
A tiny feather of love
I gotta go
Destiny never finds the way for me, my love
Even in the night I see your face, in the dark
So I never lose my way to you
I never close my heart
The light is always there

Time goes by, we can never stay the same
Now we've come so far from love memory
Though your smile is gone, we will never be apart
In our hearts we are one, for love melody
The future arrives with your love

Willing to go to a place
Where you never need to cry
I'll take you there

Willing to find an answer
In all the winding road we have to come through

In the heat of the summer, cold of winter, I'm here
So you never lose your way to me
Never close your heart
Your light is always here

Time goes by, we can never stay the same
In the shades of hope, in love memory
Though your smile is gone, we will never be apart
In our hearts we can hear the love melody
The future still shines, close to you

:D

That's the cliché of anime Japanese-to-English songs..... half the time they really don't make sense upon translation :)

There's another song that REALLY makes no sense but sounds really cool- I'll have to post it at a later date.

No, it's not wrong at all! I've done exactly the same thing with Japanese songs too! I still remember the lyrics, and I haven't even listened to the song in more than a year...

I'm still protesting geek status.... I'm not quite there (yet) XD

Okay I love the lyrics! I want someone to sing it in English because it's beautiful!

Thank you for sharing! Ha, I have a tendency to get Italian songs stuck in my head so I can understand. :)

Have a lovely evening!

@Jessica
Here's the English version:

It's obviously sung by a Japanese person though because half the pronunciations are very..... interesting ;) But that's the first version I heard :D

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. And by the way there should be a HUGE warning label on this post...IF YOU LISTEN TO THIS SONG IT WILL GET STUCK IN YOUR HEAD! *ahem* I bet you'll never guess what song was running through my brain this morning when I woke up...and in Japanese?

Oh and this is someone just doing it with a guitar but...

Thanks, have a great day!

You are so hilarious! :) I'm glad you like it! (I also dig the guitar version, not bad at all!)

I sang it for my voice teacher this morning, and I might sing it at the next recital *grin*

You have a great day too!

Definitely not wrong. While me, being strange, have never gotten a Japanese song stuck in my head, I do know someone who loves everything Japanese, especially the music, and loves anime as well. And she is DEFINITELY not crazy and wrong. In fact, she's one of the best people I know...

XD

Go for it, TD! Try to take a video of the recital, please? Or at least a sound recording?? *puppy eyes*

In case anyone was wondering, this song is sung by the actors who voice the boy and girl on the right and left of the picture on the video... actually, probably the two just on the inside of their twins..... actually...... never mind, it's just not the two guys in middle, anyway. :P

I get songs stuck in my head that aren't in English sometimes. They usually are Spanish or French songs though.

Also, I’m a new follower—wonderful blog! Stop by my blog and follow me too? :) http://rachelbrookswrites.blogspot.com/

Ha, this made me laugh. But to answer your question, the only wrong thing about this whole situation was my decision to listen to the song. Stuff gets stuck in my head very easily, and now that's stuck. Ah well. Thanks for sharing, anyway!

Ergh, sorry! I tend to do that to people....... (OO)
