At this VERY second....

I'm working on THIS:

Do you see that?

That's my scale for this week (er, month, by now......)

See this part??

I can't get it right.

Seriously, I did these two lines, like 15 times and then I stood up and was all, "That's it! I'm blogging this right now!"

Yeesh.

What a day.

*goes back to practicing impossible part*

(PS I know people like Helen will look at that and be like, "Piece of cake!" But hey, she's been playing violin WAAAAY longer than me....!)

Heh, thanks guys! The funny thing is, after venting it out on here I did it pretty much spot-on.... go figure..... O_O

Haha! That was actually what I was thinking but I am sure you will get it in no time! ;) I mean... you should practice it over a long stretch of time, i.e. once in the morning and once in the evening, and just do that every day. Walah! That helps to register what you are playing. :D Hope that helps. I am still stuck in bed...nasty cold. ( and I have to do homework too :( )

...it's "Voila!", you know ;) Or something with a V.....

Anyway, yeah, the problem was I was freaking out because I have a lesson this morning.... in like, an hour.... (OO) But I've got it down pat :]

*waves to fellow violinist* =)
That looks vaguely familiar...is it Kreutzer or Rode, by any chance? Whoever wrote it, it looks tricky to me, especially those parts you pointed out!

Wow, I feel your pain. I don't play violin, but I've gotten some pretty crazy scales with guitar. They drive me nuts and I generally spend hours trying to get it right and my family gets sick of hearing the same mess up over and over and over and over... yeah you get the point. Good luck!

My eyes crossed just looking at that.
This trombonist can't read Treble Clef or play ridiculous scales like that...yet. (Stares longingly at best friend's bass clarinet)

Whew. Though, be glad you have music for 'em. My piano teacher always showed me the scales, then sent me home. And at home I would forget the scales and wouldn't be able to play them the next week when my teacher expected me to. :)
