Some Good-Looking Movies and a REALLY random thought....

This movie looks SO GOOD.

I've been begging mom to go see it with me.

"See, mom? I have money......." "Hey mom, doesn't this look fantastic?"

etc.

*****

And yes, I gotta go see this before it leaves theaters.

The fate of the world is in the balance.

Just kidding.

I also requested Enchanted and Bridge to Terabithia from the library.

I'll do a double-feature review on them next week sometime :)

And as for the random thought........

***

CAN I PLEASE HAVE THIS GUY'S HAIR?????

Please?

Plus his eyes are cool.

Anyway, moving on.....

How is life for the rest of you??

Oooh!! Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close looks AMAZING!
I'm kind of on an anti-animal movie kick so I probably won't go see War Horse, but it looks like it could be good.

And have you seriously NOT seen Enchanted yet?? 'Cause it IS amazing. :) I want to see Bridge to Terabithia sometime too. After I read the book I felt like I couldn't go and relive the experience so soon though.

Another movie I really want to see is Martian Child. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poQhUfCNZ2g does it not look awesome?

I'm going to see War Horse today - can't wait! Haha, that hair is pretty incredible ... except I have a knack of getting mine to look like that, because it's very good at defying gravity after I've blown it through with a hairdryer, lol!

Bridge to Terabithia is alright ... the book is a lot better, the movie just ... skimps on it, somehow. I wouldn't recommend it.

You don't want Howl's hair? :P

I watched Bridge to Terabithia. I wasn't a big fan of the book anyway, so I don't really have unbiased judgement. XD It was okay. I loved the casting though. AnnaSophia Robb is one of my favorite actresses.

Those movies do look good! Although, knowing my family, we will wait to get them through the library. :-P Ah well, all's good. We are currently watching the TV series of Robin Hood that stars Richard Armitage and Jonas Armstrong. I love it! So funny...and, well, Richard Amritage is so cool. Can't wait to see him as Thorin.

I've never heard of the first movie.
War Horse sounds so cute! Finally, a horse story not all about race horses. :)

Wow. That hair, you'd really want it? Very crazy!

Bridge to Terabithia was blah. It was sad and was left me feeling like there should be more. But I know others liked it, so don't let me rain on your parade. :)

Have a great week!

@Emily V.
I'd never heard of Martian Child before- I'm intrigued!

@Amaranthine
I want mine to float around when I'm excited xD

@Hannah
Fun!

@Abby
Er, um.... you're calling a war movie cute? *shrug*

And, I've read the Terabithia book, and I know there's no way the movie will compare, but I want to watch it anyway :)

I loved Teribithia as a book. I haven't seen the movie, but I'm certainly interested in seeing it.

I can see why some people don't like the book, but I think the author really did a good job on the characterization. I really was sad when

*SPOILER*
Jess died.
*END SPOILER*

And the author made a very good point about how it feels to love something, to become attached to that thing, and then have it taken away from you. How it feels, and how--while you may not want to--you have to move on, because life keeps on moving. That's why I love it. It echoes what C.S. Lewis said in "The Silver Chair:" Tears are alright while they last, but after it's over you still have to decide what to do (that's about as close as I can get. I can't remember the quote word for word.)

Just my thoughts on the book. Not even sure why I posted them. Sorry if they were...unwelcome.

Thoughts are always welcome Chris!!! And, though, you messed up which character... I sure you meant Leslie ;)

War Horse was absolutely phenomenal. If I were you, I'd spend your money on seeing that. You won't regret it. :D

Here's a link to the full-length (and spoiler-free) review I wrote, in case you're interested:

First, Extremely Loud Incredibly Close also caught my attention, but I'll probably wait till after it's out of theaters. Let me know how it is if you can convince your Mom to go with you. ;)

Second, War Horse was not that great. It had some beautiful shots, and some great actors, but it was one of those movies where they shoved all the best parts into the trailer. Just... warning you.

Third... well... I have no comment about the hair really. Haha, :P

OH, that was the other thing, Enchanted was groan worthy, it's been years since I saw Bridge to Terabithia, but I liked it when I did. I also like Josh Hutcherson... so, yeah. I'll leave now.

*edit* The horse is cute. The story sounds thrilling!

(wow, that sounded really geeky)

Director, yes I did! Eurgh. I need to read that book again.

My sister and her husband went to see Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and said it was the best movie they'd seen in a very long time.
