Great Hunger Games Thoughts

I know, I know, you guys probably have had your fill of pastor's thoughts, reviewer's thoughts, your friend's philosophical thoughts, blogger's thoughts, yada yada yada....

But I definitely found this one well worth my time.

The post itself is barely three paragraphs-- it's the video included at the end that I really liked.

If you don't wanna click anywhere else, here's the video:

I think that if a person wants to, they can find Jesus *anywhere*, even in a Stephen King novel (I am *very* much not a fan of Stephen King). Does that mean that he's there? Honestly? I don't think so, at least not always. To me, and this is just me, I'm not saying this against you, I'm saying it in general: there was a comment on my blog a while back where someone said to me "Jesus is in everything, and therefore there is nothing on this earth that can be bad." Seeing this video, hearing people say they see Him in this series reminds me of that person saying that...and I'm reminded of my reaction of "that is *absolutely* an excuse to do whatever you want: to read what you want, watch what you want..." Because I did *not* see Jesus in this series.
I don't know if you read my pastor's commentaries on the books that I put on my blog...but they were fantastic, and truly worth reading.
Anyways, thanks for sharing; it's still interesting to hear other views!

I don't think that's what *he* was saying, but that's definitely not a good mindset to take, haha....

Did he blatantly say that Jesus was in the series, or was that the other blogger? (I've been a little out of it so I don't remember....) But anyway, I certainly can't say that Jesus was in those books either, and I found no redemption in them :/

Maybe I should just take the video down already since obviously I am so confused......

The other blogger who anonymously commented on mine was the one who said that Jesus is in every single thing, so nothing can be bad...I disagree with that! And you don't have to take it down...if people are gonna be crazy about it no matter what, then maybe it's good to have some positive insight? Haha, I don't know. Lately I've gotten a bit *too* anti-Hunger Games to the point where I'm starting to get aggressive :P I shouldn't have even commented! My apologies, friend :) Continue on without my confusing you ;)

Hey don't apologize! :D :D :D I'm just a little out of it, no worries- I appreciate your input!

And don't worry about getting aggressive about it, somebody's gotta say something. 'Cause I totally understand liking and appreciating the books.... but dressing up in "bloodstained" shirts and going Twilight-esque crazy over it, I really don't understand :/ So I understand the aggression xD It makes me pretty nutty too.
