So... I Wrote A Song...

I'm sure you all know where this stemmed from. You've read my angsty posts :-)

Anyway, things just came to a head (or a serious low, rather...) the other night. But the Lord was able to speak truth to my heart, and this song came out.

Hope it blesses and/or encourages you! Please look past the poor recording quality/guitar playing.... -_-

By the way you guys.... I LOVE YOU. I got twenty-one lovely, encouraging, sweet sweet sweet comments on my last post that made me laugh, cry (in a good way!), smile, and just feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I hope one day I can be such a blessing to each and every one of you.

Anyway, thank you so much for being so amazing. You all are Godsends <3

Curses, the song is making me cry! I HAVEN'T EVEN GOT OUT OF BED YET AND YOU'RE MAKING ME CRY!

You have a lovely voice ... and your guitar playing makes me envious. I played the damn thing for three years and couldn't play a single cord xP

Awesome - I'mma gonna make this a Favourite on YouTube. Right now.

I don't think "wow"'s or open-mouthed smileys would quite say exactly what my mind has been thinking all during the song. It's something deeper. You can truly hear your heart in that, D, truly hear your heart.

And now I want to go angst. :)

Wonderful work, D, and I can truly say that (even though I wasn't one of those 21 commenters), you blessed me In way I wasn't expecting. Thank you!

Oh, and if there's any chance you wrote notes for that, I would seriously do anything to get my hands on them. :)

WOW. Wow. I needed that, Abby. You don't even know how much I needed that.

Lately I've been working on giving away/selling a lot of things that mean a lot to me, because I want to give everything to Jesus and become His disciple. And it has been really hard for me because the devil's got his A-game on trying to stop me. And I needed this encouragement, this beauty. Thank you. Thank you so much.

And you do have a beautiful voice. I wish I could sing like that.

Thank you...again. I'm not saying it exactly how I mean it, but thank you so much.

This is why I love this blog.

This was beautiful. I've always kind of tried my hand at song writing, but just haven't managed it yet.

I feel like this song really goes with a random story idea I picked up tonight in the Fred Meyer parking lot... I think I'll go write now.

Abby, this is beautiful! :D And the guitar is beautiful, and honestly, so is your voice. You are amazing, and I love it. I hope you don't mind, but I downloaded it from youtube so I could listen to it over and over again. I truly love it. *hugs*

A single reply comment will do no justice in my desire to thank each and every one of you-- and to tell you how glad I am that this blessed you. But I tried anyways ;)

Also, Star-Dreamer, go for it-- but PLEASE record your song and blog it as well in return, I've been dying to hear it <3

I'm glad you liked it so much ;)

Okay... I knew you were a writer, but I had no idea you were also a musician. What else do I not know? Are you a Jedi, too? And when are you releasing an album? :D

@ Corey P... she is a violinist but one Sunday afternoon after we got home from church, the rest of us took a nap and when we woke up, she could play the guitar o_O.

Oh, and she makes yummy sandwiches :D

Corey P. said...

@Lainie: Okay, then - I'll come over sometime and eat sandwiches while she does a concert. Music + food = a totally fun time. :)

This was absolutely beautiful. I wish I knew what else to say, but I don't.

Now, if only I had enough musical and singing talent to add music to the song lyrics I have written...
