Trailers are powerful things.

So are spontaneous crushes.

Three guesses as to what convinced me to watch Rise of the Guardians in November:

I also hope it will be a good movie. I hope it has no crude humor. And I hope the plot is good.

I promise to give a fair review.

But regardless, I will be spending $10.50. at least once... for one reason.

I have a special place in my heart for any story that takes the old tales and tells them as they were meant to be told. Let's see if this one rises to the challenge. :)

Hmmmm, fascinating proposition, this here movie. Might see if I can track it down, if it appears in the UK.

This looks like it might actually be good. I will wait for reviews though, but I think it is now on my to see list. Besides...I am so hoping I am right, but Jack is Hiccup. Oh I hope I'm right, that chap has such a cool voice 8-D

Miss Baillot,

I thought the same thing! But Chris Pine voices him, not Jay Baruchel. It's sort of against the rules to use the same voice actor for different leads in animated films, especially so close together... but he definitely has a very Hiccup-esque character. Anyone else notice how Santa acts a little like Gobber? :P

heeheee...me wants to watch this movie verrrrrry much. :) Hopefully it won't be like Brave, where I felt like I wasted 7 bucks(sorry to all you Brave lovers...it just wasn't for me, y'know?) But this looks really cool--and I'm not just saying this because I'm have an extreme fondess for the name Jack...and guys with epic hair...okay, I'll just shut up now. :P

Haha, Ely G., I agree though, epic hair IS very important!
(Sssh, don't tell anyone, but I downloaded this trailer onto my iPod 'cause I couldn't get enough of the Jack Frost awesomeness :P)

We watched How to Train A Dragon last night. It's crazy how similar their voices are!
Hiccup has awesome hair too... :)

I had an amazing dream last night. Don't laugh, it really was. I'm not exactly happy to wake up.

I was Jack Frost. And....I could fly....and I had the stick....it was amazing!

Maybe I'm watching the trailer too much.

@ Ely G.

I know!! Crazy. The only thing is Jack's voice is considerably deeper than Hiccup's. But they both have that kinda swagger-ish sound to their voice :)

@ Hannah Joy

:P That's... that's fantastic! Sorry you has to wake up
-_- Boo. ;)

Yup, you're watching the trailer too much xD

lol my sister has a friend who not only looks slightly like Hiccup, but once his voice changes all the way, he's going to sound REALLY similar to him. It's almost scary! :) In a good way.
heehee I just remembered when I saw a picture of Jay Burchel for the first time. I was like, "Nuh-uh! That's not Hiccup! He has a...a Mohawk!!!" :P

This is my reply to this comment,

Chris Pine, Kirk...James T. Kirk, voices him?! I am slightly disappointed it isn't Hiccup, and slightly find it weird Kirk will be voicing Jack Frost, but that is still cool. Very cool, even if I didn't like this Kirk as much as the original. ANYHOW....I'm going to go and let this sink in.
(I also find it cool he can sound so much like Hiccup. And yes! Santa does act a bit like Gobber.)

That's hysterical!

My first introduction of Jay Baruchel was when my brother was into the Popular Mechanics for Kids TV episodes... back in the day when he was a wee mate, we was one of the hosts. So then I watch How To Train Your Dragon, realize I know his name, and I was like, "WHAAAAAT? That's the kid from PMK?" xDDD

@Miss Baillot,
Hahah, yup ;)

That's cool! I'd never heard of him before, so when I saw it, instantly I was fascinated. Awesome voices do that to me...I sure hope I'm not the only one.
lol I showed the trailer to my 13 yr old sis this morning(after watching it about two times before that... guiltyyyyyyy....) and now she won't stop quoting it!!! AHHHHHHH!!! :D She does some voice impressionism (and fairly good for her age), but luckily this voice is one of the ones beyond her skill. Whew! I might go nuts if I had Jack Frost talking to me all day! :)
